Hotel Santo - Cologne

We really enjoyed savoury and extensive breakfasts!

This hotel was overall very nice in every respect, had friendly efficient staff at the reception desk and bar. They provided a huge variety of savoury choices for breakfast that was included. The location was peaceful and strategic for traveling around Cologne, adjacent to the main railway station and old town as well as public transport.

Comfy room, exceptionally comfortable bed and fine bathroom. The views over street. In the centre of the city, very convenient...

Friendly and helpful staff; convenient location near to main railway station and city center; while my single room was a tad on the small side (quite all right for a solo traveller, though), the bathroom was comfortably sized (in no way cramped).

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff made the stay memorable. The breakfast was superb with a great choice of both hot and cold food. Hotel central and easy to reach most places of interest on foot. We would most certainly return to this hotel when revisiting Cologne.

The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, happy to point out local attractions/things to do/areas of interest on a map for us and explain how to connect to the hotel's free wifi (free in common areas). The hotel is situated very close to the main train station (~500m), ~10mins walk to the old town area and ~20mins walk to the Cologne Zoo, so is central to everything in the city area.

The hotel is central to everything, but not really close to anything, so when you leave the hotel in the morning it can be a bit of a trek to get back to it. But if you're out for the day it's fine.

Courteous, efficient, helpful staff. Good breakfast. Good location, only 5 minutes on foot from the main rail station and only 10 minutes from the city centre with its excellent range of shops and restaurants.

Parking inside the hotel's very cramped garage (which cost a hefty 13 euros per night) was difficult, with little room to manoeuvre.

Great and absolutely charming hotel, we greatly enjoyed it.

The bed was soft, and the room itself was spacious. It was nice to find tea and coffee making equipment, a refrigerator, and glassware. Informative personnel at the reception desk and bar and the breakfast offered was great and outstanding.

I have stayed here seven times in the past 12 months,the location is good with local shops restaurants and bars less than 200 yards away but also you can visit the city, only 15 minutes walk to the Dom and shopping centre.

There is no coffee or tea making facilities in the rooms. When staying here for long periods I think this facility is needed.

We book standart, but were apgradet to junior suit - room was clean and stilysh. Near Central station, 20 min by foot to the AltShtadt.

Breakfast wasn't very varied, but was ok.

The location was perfect to travel to and fro the train station and easy for sight seeing. The breakfast, which was inclusive, was fantastic with variety to satisfy different taste. The restaurant staff were also helpful and willing to help. I will definitely stay at the hotel again if I were to go to Cologne in the future.;

staff were very helpful, the hotel was very clean a very good breakfast selection and within walking distance to trains centre and good resturants,we were given a nice quiet room as requested.although rooms are very sparsley equipped for 4 star, we would certinely stay at the santo again

Awesome place with 24-hour reception, free wi-fi, and comfortable air conditioning. The staff remembered my late check-in. I can't wait for my next city break here!

Everything that you need to have a nice stay, can be found in this hotel: Very good breakfast, friendly stuff, clean, modern, good locationl. All this for a very good price. So if you can accept the price, then do not hesitate to book.

We have been here already 5 times the last few years, so my opion this is a good hotel, nice rooms, great beakfast and close to the center of Koln.
